Mark Benham is a visual artist with a design background who uses photography as his medium for image making. His broad-based work is an eclectic mix of different genres and changing inspirations, mostly derived from architecture, portraiture and still life.
In 2013, around the time he moved over to photography, he began travelling through Portugal, taking photographs for his book ‘Two Hundred Days’ – an intimate portrayal of a country he loves. Over the following years he focused mostly on documentary, travel and street photography. In 2016 he won the World Food Photography Awards, then known as Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year, which led to commissioned work.
