During my previous life as a graphic designer I worked with studio based photographers, art directing and often styling shoots for clients. Nowadays I hold the camera, working as a documentary photographer, shooting a wide range of subjects, from people at work and artisan producers to travel. As such, much of my work is on location, preferring to use natural light where I can. My photography began in earnest during regular visits to Portugal between 2010 – 2014 and subsequent book project 'Two Hundred Days', which helped in the development of my work. Capturing candid moments in the lives of ordinary and extraordinary Portuguese people gave a more holistic portrayal of this country. Travel continues to play its part in my photography. When I’m not working on a commission I engross myself in one of my many personal projects. I am also developing my still life photography.
